Energy Department produces ‘cyber-informed engineering strategy’ for building grid security
The Department of Energy has released a strategy for building cybersecurity into energy systems as federal and state officials carry out a “once-in-a-generation investment” under the bipartisan 2021 infrastructure improvement law.
The strategy, posted Wednesday by the department, was required under the fiscal 2020 National Defense Authorization Act and developed through a multistakeholder process led by DOE’s Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response, known as CESER.
