Election-security debate offers cyber takeaways; lawmakers probe on DOE, drones, Iran

There were a few cyber policy takeaways to mull following expected House action today on election-security legislation, while lawmakers this week managed to take a peek at a few non-election cybersecurity issues.

Energy Secretary Rick Perry detailed his department's extensive cyber initiatives before the House Science Committee; a Chinese drone maker urged the Senate Commerce Committee to avoid a country-of-origin approach to cybersecurity; and House Homeland Security Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-MS) said he wants to know more...
