Dragos report examines Iranian-led, other cyber threats to North American electric system

A new report by cybersecurity firm Dragos identifies a growing threat to the North American electric system punctuated by “numerous intrusions into [industrial control system] networks for reconnaissance and research purposes,” an especially timely warning amid the current confrontation between the United States and Iran.

Of particular interest given the Iran situation, “Dragos identified a recent increase in activity targeting North American electric entities, led by the identification of PARISITE activity targeting known VPN vulnerabilities, and MAGNALLIUM password spraying...
