Draft recommendations coming in June from NTIA's software transparency initiative

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration's multistakeholder initiative on software transparency is moving toward June recommendations, with agreement coalescing around the minimum requirements for a Software Bill of Materials.

“It's an exciting point to be at in this process, because we now actually can sort of say, not what the end looks like, but what the path of progress is,” Allan Friedman, NTIA's director of cybersecurity initiatives, said Thursday in wrapping up the fourth meeting of the multistakeholder group.
