DOT, automakers to meet on voluntary disclosure of cyber plans for self-driving cars

Automakers and other stakeholders will meet with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration this week to discuss challenges in publicly disclosing aspects of voluntary safety self-assessments that include manufacturers’ efforts to secure autonomous vehicles from cybersecurity threats.

NHTSA will host a meeting to support adoption of its new voluntary guidance on autonomous vehicles – “Automated Driving Systems 2.0: A Vision for Safety” – on Friday, according to the Department of Transportation.
