DNI Haines says cyber info-sharing with CISA is preventing attacks, calls for ‘Section 702’ renewal

Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines highlighted successful cyber information sharing between the Intelligence Community and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency in a Senate Armed Services appearance, while citing significant cyber benefits derived under the expiring Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

Haines and Lt. Gen. Scott Berrier, head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, testified Thursday at the committee’s “worldwide threats” hearing.
