Digital rights group CDT blasts Attorney General Barr's remarks about encryption dangers

Attorney General William Barr is reviving law enforcement arguments that strong data encryption harms criminal investigations, shields terrorists and endangers public safety -- a claim roundly attacked by a digital rights group as undermining core consumer protections and trust.
