DHS, NIST release cybersecurity guidance addressing Internet of Things

The National Institute of Standards and Technology and the Department of Homeland Security on Tuesday issued separate, but complementary, cybersecurity guidelines that can apply to the burgeoning Internet of Things.

NIST on Tuesday issued a final version of its Special Publication 800-160, Systems Security Engineering, according to a blog post, offering guidelines for technology developers to create more secure designs for products.
