DHS' Krebs urges states to spell out and push requests for additional election security funds

States must precisely spell out their needs for additional federal dollars to secure election systems and make the case to the federal government, Christopher Krebs, a top cybersecurity official at the Department of Homeland Security, said today -- one day after the House voted down a Democratic amendment to provide more money for the Election Assistance Commission.
