DHS circulates critical functions 'set' for industry input, eyes end-of-month release

The Department of Homeland Security has circulated a preliminary “set” of critical functions for industry input prior to releasing the document by the end of April, according to industry and DHS sources.

The move marks an important milestone for DHS in its pivot to focusing on strategic cybersecurity threats announced last summer at a major summit with industry leaders. The set of functions is intended to help in developing a national risk registry to guide cyber defensive resources.
