DHS’ Kolasky stresses analytical role of new National Risk Management Center

BALTIMORE, MD. Bob Kolasky, the director of the Department of Homeland Security’s National Risk Management Center, emphasized the new center’s focus on “analysis” rather than “operations,” urging both industry and government to “work smartly” in identifying “critical functions” for the nation as a whole.

“Let’s understand the things that are most important to us, and make sure we are locked down working collaboratively,” Kolasky said today at the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s “Cybersecurity Risk Management” conference.
