Defense bill sets strict deadlines for Trump to assess vulnerabilities, deter cyber attacks

The defense authorization act – overwhelmingly approved with bipartisan support in the final days of the last Congress – lays down an ambitious agenda and strict deadlines for the incoming Trump administration to asses cyber vulnerabilities of critical infrastructure affecting national security, and to develop a strategy for deterring and responding to imminent cyber threats, among other provisions.
