Cyber leader Krayem says timing for NIST framework update is ‘spot-on,’ cites ‘desperate’ need to bolster cybersecurity hygiene

The timing is right for a NIST-led public-private engagement to update the cybersecurity framework, according to Norma Krayem of Van Scoyoc Associates, who says a “CSF 2.0” process won’t halt an ongoing shift toward regulation in the cyber policy space but will help drive security improvements across key sectors that remain vulnerable to ransomware and other attacks.
