Cyber firm challenges government's voluntary approach, calls on Congress to pass data security legislation

Policy makers should not accept the premise that government's only role is as a convener of voluntary, public-private partnerships in defending against threats associated with the Internet of Things, according to the representative of a cybersecurity firm who sketched out ways Congress can get beyond the current framework for debate.
