CSIS advisor questions effectiveness, national security rationale for economic decoupling from China

The Trump administration’s efforts to decouple from China’s high-tech industries undermine U.S. global leadership and national security, according to Center for Strategic and International Studies senior adviser Scott Kennedy.

Kennedy, in a July 27 brief, said the administration’s steps to ban Chinese telecom giant Huawei from the U.S. market is “confronting danger with a dangerous approach.”
