COVID-19 pandemic accelerates CISA’s CDM outreach, healthcare sector coordination

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency is working with health sector-specific agencies and the private sector to help them respond more quickly to pandemic-related threats and address vulnerabilities, according to a senior CISA official.

In March, CISA started an initiative called “Project Taken” to identify areas where the federal government needed to bulk up its defenses. The program has helped the agency take a targeted approach to addressing threats.
