Consumer tech group seeks changes to hardware, software timelines for connected vehicles under Commerce Dept. proposed rule

The Consumer Technology Association is asking the Commerce Department to adjust its timelines under a proposed rule addressing national security risks from connected vehicles for covered software and hardware, to take into account industry’s capabilities to reach compliance with the requirements.
