Congressional Research Service outlines opportunities for legislation under national cyber strategy

A new report from the Congressional Research Service provides details for lawmakers on the national cyber strategy, addressing the Biden administration’s proposed software liability bill and overarching approach to cyber regulation.

CRS notes that the strategy is intended to build on work completed under previous administrations and other strategic documents focused on “national cybersecurity” including the congressionally authorized Cyberspace Solarium Commission.

The strategy has five pillars and was released on March 2.
