Congressional Research Service identifies options in reauthorizing CISA 2015 law

A new report from the Congressional Research Service reviews options for the reauthorization of the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act of 2015, including a potential extension, changing definitions and exploring changes to information sharing mandates.

“A decade ago, Congress authorized a cybersecurity information sharing structure that allows the federal government to collect and disseminate threat information, and enabled private sector entities to voluntarily share that information with the government, as well as among themselves,” the April 8 report says.
