Commerce secretary says regulations cannot solve cybersecurity problems

Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker said today that federal regulators should back off from enforcement action against companies that are the victim of a cyber attack, and called for new legislation and other steps to establish trust between industry and government to collaborate in mitigating and thwarting cyber risks.
