Commerce Dept. outlines business costs for compliance with ICT supply chain rule

The Commerce Department has released an analysis of the costs businesses could face to comply with a controversial supply chain interim final rule for the information and communications technology sector, providing wide-ranging estimates depending on different business considerations.

The “Regulatory Impact Analysis” breaks down administrative costs into four areas: learning about the rule, developing a compliance plan, implementation of the plan, and compliance with investigations.
