Commerce Dept. official: Botnet initiative on course, workshop likely in a 'few months'

The initiative to combat botnets led by the departments of Commerce and Homeland Security is on track and will include a public workshop in the coming months, according to a Commerce official, who said a required strategic update to the president should be ready before the end of the year.
