Commerce Dept. issues supply chain proposed rule to include connected vehicles in foreign transaction rulemaking

The Commerce Department has released a notice of proposed rulemaking to get feedback on prohibiting connected vehicles technology from countries that pose a national security risk under authorities that established a process in 2021 to prohibit or mitigate foreign transactions in the communications and IT sectors.
