Commerce’s Friedman touts collaborative efforts on software security

SAN FRANCISCO. Allan Friedman, head of cyber initiatives at a key Commerce Department agency, brought his pitch for collaboration to the RSA conference here Thursday, urging members of the cyber ecosystem to contribute to an ongoing multistakeholder effort to develop a “software bill of materials” – SBOM -- protocol.
