Up for Comment: NIST’s Trump-ordered plan for federal engagement on AI
The National Institute of Standards and Technology is seeking comment on a draft plan for federal engagement to advance U.S. leadership in artificial intelligence that identifies attributes of trustworthiness, which it says is key to speed uptake of the technology.
According to the draft plan, issued under a February executive order, “characteristics of trustworthy AI include accuracy, explainability, resiliency, safety, security and the ability to protect privacy,” NIST said in a press release Tuesday.
