CISA SBOM community group explores applying software transparency concepts to artificial intelligence

A community-led team facilitated by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency is exploring how to promote artificial intelligence transparency building on existing efforts to solve complex challenges in the Software Bill of Materials ecosystem.

CISA launched a software transparency effort in 2021 that focuses on SBOM and has put out several products through the community-led process. The agency is in the process of restructuring those efforts by creating smaller groups that are more project focused.
