CISA, FBI advisory identifies trends and best practices for defending against Russian cyber operations

A new advisory from CISA, DHS and the FBI pulls together guidance on trends and tools for countering “continued targeting of U.S and foreign entities” by the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service’s cyber actors, and includes technical details and recommendations for organizations.

“The SVR activity—which includes the recent SolarWinds Orion supply chain compromise—primarily targets government networks, think tank and policy analysis organizations, and information technology companies and seeks to gather intelligence information,” according to the advisory.
