CISA, allies issue advisory on vulnerabilities due to ‘weak controls and practices,’ mitigations

CISA and the cyber agencies of four allied nations are advising organizations on steps to correct “weak security controls and practices” that are routinely exploited by adversaries to access systems.

“The cybersecurity authorities of the United States, Canada, New Zealand, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom have issued a joint Cybersecurity Advisory on 10 routinely exploited weak security controls, poor configurations, and bad practices that allow malicious actors to compromise networks,” the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency announced Tuesday....
