Chairman of House financial services panel unveils revised draft cyber active-defense bill

The chairman of the House Appropriations financial services subcommittee has unveiled revised draft legislation on an active cyber defense that includes new mandatory reporting requirements for companies that pursue cyber aggressors, commonly referred to as “hacking back,” and a sunset provision that will require Congress to revisit the strategy in two years.
