CenturyLink selected to secure cloud connectivity for first digital census in 2020

The U.S. Census Bureau has entered into a contract with CenturyLink to provide cybersecurity for digitizing the national count, which informs funding allocations and congressional representation.

“CenturyLink’s connectivity will support the public internet response system that will enable more than 125 million households to complete the 2020 census online and allow the Census Bureau to access the responses via secure cloud applications for the first time,” reads a press release the company issued Thursday.
