On Capitol Hill, look for moves on DHS legislation and talk on deterrence

House Homeland Security Chairman Michael McCaul's (R-TX) legislation to reorganize Department of Homeland Security cyber functions is moving toward committee action, while various panels are examining the always complicated issue of cyber deterrence.

McCaul this week said he expects to “soon” move a bill that would create a cybersecurity agency within DHS, and that he was receiving helpful “technical assistance” from the Trump administration.
