Bipartisan IoT procurement bill aims to reinforce NIST's work under Trump-ordered botnet report

A bipartisan, bicameral group of lawmakers on Monday introduced legislation meant to improve the cybersecurity of Internet of Things devices the federal government procures, by among other things setting a specific date and instructions for the National Institute of Standards and Technology to complete work it was assigned by the Trump administration for mitigating the threat of botnet attacks.
