Biden nominates University of Maryland research leader Locascio for NIST director

President Biden has selected Laurie Locascio to serve as Director of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, choosing the former NIST official and current vice president for research at the University of Maryland for one of the federal government’s most pivotal cybersecurity positions.
