Biden executive order sets out steps on CHIPS Act implementation, creates steering committee

President Biden has issued an executive order setting out priorities for implementation of the CHIPS and Science Act, with a focus on reducing “reliance on vulnerable or overly concentrated foreign production for both leading-edge and mature microelectronics,” and including creation of a high-level interagency steering committee.
