Biden budget provides funding for Commerce supply chain efforts, support for State and FCC network security

President Biden’s proposed fiscal 2022 budget provides details on Commerce Department plans for implementing a review process for foreign supply chain transactions in the information and communications technology and services sector, as well as proposed investments to support cyber activities at other federal agencies.

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration is seeking $4 million to carry out its duties under the ICTS rule, which went into effect on March 22.
