Banking group urges NIST to add new functions to CSF 2.0 around governance, supply chain

The Bank Policy Institute is backing the creation of two new functions into the NIST cybersecurity framework that will align it with the financial sector’s profile and address evolving threats.

“Since its inception, the Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) has served as a foundation for organizations of various shapes and sizes to better understand, prioritize, manage, and communicate cyber risks,” BPI said in a Friday letter to NIST on the CSF 2.0 concept paper.
