Auto industry concerned about state regulatory encroachment on autonomous cars

Representatives of the automotive industry say state governments are beginning to encroach on federal regulators’ turf by regulating vehicle design and performance of connected and self-driving cars, while highlighting the need to collaborate on mitigating cyber vulnerabilities in automobiles.
