Attorneys, tech industry execs: Litigation is not best path to improve IoT security

Allowing the threat of litigation to serve as the primary incentive for improving security of the Internet of Things could undermine actual efforts to secure the emerging technology, according to industry attorneys and tech industry executives, who are urging industry to reach out to policymakers on the issue.
