Attorney cites cyber statute's liability protections in recommendations for national privacy law

A leading industry lawyer on privacy protections is citing the liability waivers offered by a cybersecurity law enacted in 2015 in recommendations for lawmakers drafting consumer data safeguards, as pressure mounts for a national privacy law.
