Atlantic Council report proposes developing ‘safe harbor’ framework to address ransomware attacks

A recent report from the Atlantic Council argues for the creation of a “safe harbor” framework to make a “fundamental” change in how ransomware attacks are reported and enhance information sharing.

The finding is based on a series of roundtable discussions with federal officials and tech executives convened by the Atlantic Council’s GeoTech Center prior to the passage of the mandatory incident reporting law.
