Amendments approved on cyber hygiene, vulnerability assessments during House Armed Services NDAA markup

The House Armed Services Committee has adopted amendments to the fiscal 2021 National Defense Authorization Act ordering studies to determine how the Defense Department is responding to cyber incidents and managing its Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program.

The committee voted Wednesday to approve the mark from the House Armed Services emerging threats subcommittee and the chairman’s mark, and to build on both legislative components with additional DOD oversight.
