After Dyn attack, policymakers tout existing tools to secure Internet of Things

The recent distributed denial of service attack against internet service provider Dyn underscores the importance of existing government cyber initiatives and forthcoming Internet of Things guidelines, according to federal officials, while industry representatives are touting the potential benefits of IoT standards to promote market-driven security of IoT devices.
