U.S., EU officials meet to address Privacy Shield ‘misunderstandings’

Officials from multiple U.S. agencies met Tuesday with members of a European Parliament committee to discuss the functioning of the U.S.-EU Privacy Shield, which underpins transatlantic data transfers, after a nonbinding resolution calling for suspension of the agreement passed the parliament.
