State Dept.: U.S. backs 'objectives' of Paris cyber document, efforts will continue

The United States is supportive of the cybersecurity goals outlined in the “Paris Call for Trust and Security” championed by French President Emmanuel Macron, but has problems with specific elements of the document and will continue to push ahead on international cyber norms of behavior through multiple avenues, according to a State Department spokesperson.

“Although the United States supports the objectives of the Paris Call, we had reservations with certain elements of the text itself,” the spokesperson told Inside Cybersecurity....
