Software developers offer cautious support for blockchain as cybersecurity solution

The Software and Information Industry Association has released an “issue brief” on the policy implications from use of blockchain technology, citing limited cybersecurity improvements.

“Blockchain is a promising technology. Policymakers can best support the development of blockchain applications though a technologically neutral regulatory approach and support for experimentation, both by regulated industries and their regulators,” according to SIIA's announcement of the report issued Wednesday.
