Senate Rules hearing will eye 'practical' approach to securing elections

The Senate Rules Committee today will examine “practical” solutions to securing the nation's election system, even while not offering any new legislative proposals, according to Chairman Roy Blunt (R-MO).

The committee will be hearing from a key Department of Homeland Security official, and will discuss the Secure Elections Act offered by ranking member Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) with bipartisan support at the end of last year.
