Senate Homeland Security panel to examine Cyber SAFETY Act, other cyber legislation next week

The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee will mark up the Cyber SAFETY Act next week, along with several other cyber-related measures.

The Cyber SAFETY Act, to be examined during a full committee business meeting on June 13, was introduced by Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT) in February. The bill would clarify cybersecurity liability protections under the DHS-administered SAFETY Act.
