NTIA extends comment deadline on proposed data privacy framework

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration has extended the comment deadline to Nov. 9 on its proposed framework for protecting personal data.

“All other information in the original notice remains unchanged,” states NTIA in a Federal Register notice published today. The original notice was issued to seek input on a proposal crafted in response to emerging state and international requirements, including California's Consumer Privacy Protection Act and the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation.
