NIST webinar will examine proposed update to cybersecurity framework

The National Institute of Standards and Technology will host a March 1 webinar to discuss proposed revisions to its voluntary framework of cybersecurity standards, ahead of a comment deadline on the changes.

The webinar will examine draft version 1.1 of the framework, which seeks to clarify use of implementation tiers, provide guidance on metrics and measurements, and introduce the concept of identity “proofing” and expand authorization, according to NIST.
