NIST releases draft guidance for 'trusted' cloud computing

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has released for comment a draft of guidelines for “trusted” cloud suppliers and users. NIST is seeking comments to address “gaps” in the proposed guidelines issued Monday.

The document, Special Publication (SP) 1800-19 Volume B, was developed by the NIST National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence, or NCCoE. An “executive summary” of the guidelines was issued in August.
